Dear Visitor, as from 2018 onwards we have extended our 4x4 fleet to the highest level to meet the demands of our valued Africa and 4x4 enthusiasts from all over the world. The robust Toyota Land Cruiser 4.2 diesel, without turbo and complicated computer electronics, makes up for most of our 4x4 fleet. The Toyotas are our first choice because of their reliability, comfortable drive, as well as their excellent service network. All vehicles are fitted with Snorkels which enables them to drive through shallow water without problems. Please just check the depth of the water passage: if you have to swim, so does the vehicle!
We renew our fleet regurlarly and we operate closely with three large rental companies to offer an even better service. Should you encounter problems with a vehicle during your safari, a replacement can speedily be arranged.
Because Land Rover has stopped production on the Defender, these vehicles are only available on special request for the Land Rover enthusiast. All 4x4 vehicles are Diesel types.

Our extensive camping equipment is assembled to enable you a carefree holiday in southern Africa and especially so off the beaten track in the bush. Extra equipment, e.g. a GPS with the latest maps or a satellite phone, is available at a minimal additional cost. The camping equipment is suited for a maximum of 5 persons per vehicle.

This table shows rental rates from 16 days onwards. The minimum rental period is 5 days. Long term rentals benefit from up to 15% discount off the advertised price. Please enquire for a quotation.
The South African Rand exchange rate varies greatly at the moment. Please note that your quotation from 4x4camper is valid for a period of 14 days only. Please enquire for rates outside of South Africa, e.g. Namibia

*A standard insurance package is included in all rentals with 95% theft and accident coverage.
Rental rates include the following:

• STD Standard cover with 95% theft and accident coverage.
• CDW1 Collision and theft waiver reduces excess to R10 000 for
our Toyotas (R 85 – R 130 per day)
• CDW2 Collision and theft waiver reduces excess to R2 000 for our Toyotas. Damages to tyres and windscreens included.

Cross-border fees for southern African countries R 600 and for Mozambique, Angola and Malawi R 2 000. Contract fee R 100, cleaning fee R 400, toll roads Gauteng R 100. The rental rates include all applicable taxes and levies.

Effective from 1 June 2015, South African authorities require that all children under 18 years, travelling to / from South Africa,
be in possession of their original unabridged birth certificate reflecting both parents full names and surname.
Children travelling with one parent, or other person/s, or where parent/s are deceased,
must be in possession of an affidavit from the remaining parent/s or guardian permitting the child to travel.
Safari Live Stream
Jump on the back and join a LIVE African Safari in Djuma Private Game Reserve in the Sabi Sand/greater Kruger National Park area. Twice a day expert guides invite you to come along and drive through the African bush in search of the Big Five as well as smaller animals.
Sunset Safari runs from 15:30 - 18:30 the Sunrise drive runs from 06:00 to 09:00
